I like to welcome you to The DIY Feather Earring Workshop. This is a step-by-step instruction manual to help guide you through making your own feather earring masterpiece.
For most people, wearing jewelry serves different purposes. It may be a status symbol, a remembrance of an achievement, or a mere accessory. While many people would love to wear these items of embellishment, there are also a lot of people drawn to making them.
It is beautiful to think that more than just an item of luxury or glitz and glamour, jewelry does bring a lot of benefits not only to a person’s physical health but more so, for mental and psychological wellness.
We empower all women to turn heads and discover their own unique prowess through the art of feather earrings and promise you will feel light as a feather at the end of this workshop. All of the feathers we use are 100% authentic and gently dyed, which is why we are able to offer our unique earrings in a variety of styles, an assortment of colors and a range of lengths.

STEP 1
Trim Feathers
TOOLS- CUTTERS
-
Cut 1/4 of f your feather stem.
-
Place feathers on top of each other so that you cut them the same size.
STEP 2
Crimp the end of the feathers
TOOLS- FLAT NOSE PLIERS

Crimp the end of the feather stems
-
Ensure the back of the feather is facing you
STEP 3
Attach jump rings to chains
TOOLS-CHAIN NOSE PLIERS
-
Open the jump ring
-
Hook the long chain first
-
Hook the short chain next
-
Hook on feather piece
-
Close the jump ring but do not overlap it as we will open this back up for part 3

Repeat steps on other side
STEP 4
Attach feathers to the end of chains
TOOLS-CHAIN NOSE PLIERS

Hook jump ring onto each end of chains

Ensure the top of feather is facing you
-
Close the jump ring ensure it overlaps
Overlap the rings on the end of the chains
-
Close the jump ring ensure it overlaps. Only on the loops that are at each end of the chain

Part 3
Leave a little sparkle wherever you go
Angels appear
when feathers are near
To further enhance the design of your handmade earrings, some styles feature embellishments such as beads, chain portions, sparkling rhinestones, acrylic cutouts, enamel charms and so much more.
STEP 5
Create a loop on your bead pins
TOOLS- NOSE PLIERS

Line up your pin on the pink tape
-
Roll the pin away from you to create a loop
STEP 6
Connect bead pin & leaf accent
TOOLS- CHAIN NOSE PLIERS
-
Re-open the jump ring with the top feather
-
Hook on your leaf accent
-
Hook on your bead
-
Now you can close this jump ring back up and overlap it
STEP 7
Connect bead pin to jump ring & charm
TOOLS-CHAIN NOSE PLIERS
Hook a jump ring through the other end of bead pin loop
Hook loop of charm to jump ring
Ensure the back of the charm faces you
Close the jump ring
Ensure you overlap the jump ring
STEP 8
Connect earring hook to charm
TOOLS- NOSE PLIERS AND FLAT NOSE PLIERS

Open the loop on the earring hook
-
Ensure the back of the earring hook loop and back of the charm are facing you
-
Hook them together use chain nose pliers to squeeze the earring hook shut
CONGRATULATIONS
